Ninth Circuit: Snapshot

We will regularly post a snapshot (summary) of what is occurring in the Ninth Circuit, this will be included in our end-of-the-month “The Death Penalty in 2012” post. This monthly post will highlight notable cases in state and federal court, important oral arguments, general trends, and major stories.

*These numbers are the most current we could obtain using DOC numbers. However, DP9 officially tracks death row population using LDF’s quarterly report, which is only current to July 1, 2011. So there may be some discrepancies throughout our blog with regards to the number of death row inmates.
